BLM Wild Horse and Burro Adoption

One of the things I am most passionate about - besides books! - is the health and well-being of America's wild horse herds. There are currently something like 40,000 horses in captivity awaiting placement in qualified homes. Since 2005 I have owned five BLM mustangs from Oregon, Wyoming, and Nevada. They have been the smartest horses I've ever worked with and among the most athletic. Though they can present unique challenges and require patience, if you have the time and facilities to adopt you will find yourself the most loyal partner under saddle. Please check out the BLM's site for more information, and feel free to contact me with questions. I am always happy to mentor new adopters!
